A 49-year-old nurse reportedly admitted to police that he exposed himself to a cancer patient he was treating at a San Antonio hospital.

SAN ANTONIO -- A nurse admitted he exposed himself to a breast cancer patient he was treating at a San Antonio Hospital, according to San Antonio police investigators. Richard "Ricardo" Pacheco was arrested on a charge of indecent exposure on Monday evening and was later fired from his job.

According to an arrest warrant, the 63-year-old victim was brought to Mission Trails Baptist Hospital Friday. She was admitted to the emergency room.

The victim said she was coherent and alert when Pacheco allegedly exposed himself. The 49-year-old wanted the woman to touch him, police said.

Pacheco, a licensed vocational nurse, reportedly did the same thing at least six times throughout her stay.

SAPD investigators said the victim told hospital officials who took immediate action by suspending Pacheco. He would later be fired.

In a statement , the hospital wrote:

"The Baptist Health System takes allegations such as these very seriously which is why we proactively and immediately reported the claim to the San Antonio Police Department. We are currently working in full cooperation with SAPD because the safety and well being of our patients is our top priority. The employee was immediately suspended and he has since been terminated."

Pacheco told police he suffers from PTSD. The warrant said he shared stories of three Iraqi tours with the victim before exposing himself.
