PFLUGERVILLE, Texas -- A Travis County grand jury has indicted a Pflugerville babysitter on an injury to a child charge after investigators said she burned a toddler with hot liquid.

Rachelle Dooley, 34, faces up to 10 years behind bars if convicted of the third-degree felony charge.

Police arrested Dooley late Wednesday, and she was released on bond from the Travis County Jail several hours later.

An attorney for Dooley did not return calls seeking comment.

Daniel Roberts, the father of Maxx Roberts, who is now 3, also has sued Dooley in state district court.

"The water doesn't get turned on today without him making mention or asking several times, repeatedly, 'Is it hot? Hot water makes me sick,'" Daniel Roberts said.
