AUSTIN, Texas-- A new bill at the State Capitol could make vehicle inspection stickers a thing of the past.
There is a catch though. You would have to get your car inspected before getting your registration each year and, for the first time, diesel vehicles would have to pass an emissions test.
According to our partners at the Austin American-Statesman, the Senate approved the bill on Monday. Twenty-seven other states already use a single-sticker system.
If approved by the House, the measure would go into effect at the start of September.
