Killeen police arrested 19 people over the weekend after a prostitution operation was conducted.
On July 22 and 23, members of the Organized Crime Unit conducted an investigation into prostitution in the city after receiving complaints from citizens and receiving several tips.
Prostitution is illegal in Texas and is usually connected with other criminal activities. Police said activities such as human trafficking, drug sales and use, thefts, assaults and robberies can be associated with prostitution.
