CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas - A young 19-year-old girl taken too soon.
Emilia Juarez was found dead in a rural Caldwell County field last week. Now, her mother and father are left without answers as to what happened.
"She was not just a girl that was found in a field," Blanca Juarez said. "She was Emilia Marie Juarez. She was my daughter. I want her to be remembered as a beautiful, young, sweet, determined girl."
Words cannot describe what Blanca and Emilio Juarez are going through.
Just last week, they learned that their daughter was found dead just five miles from their home.
"We don't have any idea as to what happened," Blanca said.
She said that authorities aren’t telling her much as the investigation into Juarez's death unfolds.
"I just know that it is not at her fault that she was out there," Blanca said. "I know my daughter."
So far, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office has not made an arrest in their investigation into Emilia's death.
"In the process of the investigation, The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has offered an award of up to $2,000 with any info leading to arrest," Caldwell County District Attorney Fred Weber said.
Meanwhile, Emilia's mother has a message for her daughter's murderer.
"I call you out on behalf of my daughter who cannot speak anymore," Blanca said. "I just want to see you face to face. Come out from wherever you are, say ‘Here I am, I did it.’"
Emilia Juarez leaves behind two brothers, a sister and three nieces.
She was planning to attend Austin Community College in the fall and had hopes of one day becoming a psychologist.
