PROSPER, Texas -- In Texas, football is king. So, you could say this house was built by royalty.

"I would see this home and I would always wonder, 'I wonder what this home looks like on the inside,'" said Realtor David Gloria.

He's talking about the massive mansion that was custom built by Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders in 1999 in the then-small town of Prosper, about 35 miles north of Dallas.

"When they walk in the front door, they are greeted by this grand foyer," Gloria said.

The entry way may take your breath away, but that's just the beginning. Walk past the living room and past the custom-built trophy case and you get to the full-sized basketball court. Courtside, there's a barbershop.

And of course you have the swimming pools -- two outdoors and one indoor.

The 29,000-square-foot estate once sat on 100-plus acres, but that was when Prosper was nothing by vacant land.

"I think it was really a perfect storm," Gloria said. "I believe that he built this out here and bought out here because he wanted to be away from everything. Everything has come to Prosper, now."

As Gloria shows us, there are big plans in the works for the newly-named Chateau Montclair.

Sanders sold the home a year-and-a-half ago, and it's now back on the market.

The mansion will stay untouched, but the rest of the land is being subdivided and will soon host 25 high-end homes, all to meet the growing demand.

"We're seeing homes in the multi-million-dollar range move really quickly. Before, we would [show] homes [for] a year, two, three years," Gloria said. "Sometimes [now], we see them moving in just a matter of days."

Back inside the former Sanders home, we've saved the best for last.

Just past the master bedroom, feel free to get lost in the master bedroom closet -- all 3,000 square feet of it.

It can all be yours for $12.7 million.
