$50 million lawsuit filed against Chris Brown for alleged attack backstage at Texas show

"Chris Brown's egregious conduct must be stopped," the lawsuit said.

HOUSTON — Music star Chris Brown, his entourage and the entertainment company Live Nation were named in a lawsuit filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of four men who claim to have been beaten after Brown performed in Fort Worth last weekend. It happened Saturday after a show at the Dickies Arena. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs were invited backstage with about 40 women.

According to the lawsuit, the men were waiting in a room for about 30 minutes before Brown came in. After greeting him and shaking his hand, they tried to leave but apparently Brown remembered they had previous "beef" and instructed his entourage to attack the men, the lawsuit said.

Brown and his entourage surrounded the plaintiffs, threw chairs at them and kicked and stomped them, the lawsuit said.

"The unprovoked violence included multiple strikes to the (plaintiffs') heads and chests, and ultimately involved stomping them while they were down," the lawsuit said.

Brown was involved in the attack and also directed the others to participate in the beatings, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also alludes to Brown's past, in which he has a "long history of violence."

"Chris Brown's egregious conduct must be stopped," the lawsuit said. "He has a checkered past. Brown has several times been reported to be involved in incidents of violence and assault, beating men and women alike."

It references one of the plaintiffs who was hospitalized with head injuries and three others suffered other bodily injuries.

The lawsuit is seeking damages over $50 million.
