Here's how Brenna Swindell was found halfway across the country 2 days after her dad reported her missing

Brenna Swindell, the daughter of former Astros pitcher Greg Swindell, was found two days after being reported missing out of Austin.

AUSTIN, Texas — Brenna Swindell Womack, the daughter of former Astros pitcher Greg Swindell, was found unharmed days after her father reported her missing in Austin.

Brenna was found in Klamath Falls, Oregon, nearly 2,000 miles from where she was last seen. Her ex, Morgan Guidry, was taken into custody on a warrant out of Travis County in Texas.

Here's a look at the events leading up to Brenna's disappearance as well as how she was found, according to Travis County authorities.

July 7

Travis County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a family disturbance call involving Brenna and Guidry. Court documents showed Brenna accused Guidry of choking her. She later told police she feared that he would kill her.

Aug. 20

Brenna told a detective on the case that she wanted to press charges against Guidry. At that time, a felony warrant was filed for assault/family violence/house member impeding breath/circulation.

Aug. 22

Brenna and Guidry were seen at a bar in Spicewood, Texas.

Aug. 24

Brenna's parents asked authorities to conduct a welfare check at her apartment. Neither she nor her vehicle were found.

Aug. 25

Brenna's father, Greg Swindell, reported his daughter missing to the Austin Police Department. She was entered into a national database and investigators started searching for her.

Aug. 27

Around 1 a.m. PT, police officers in Klamath Falls spotted Brenna's vehicle and pulled it over. Brenna and Guidry were inside. Guidry was taken into custody on the Travis County warrant. Brenna appeared to be unharmed.

"This is the news we were desperately hoping and praying for. I’m relieved that Brenna has been found and is safe. I’m so grateful to everyone who contributed their efforts to finding her, across the Travis County area and outside the state of Texas," Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez said.
