HUTTO, Texas — Police have made an arrest after a road rage incident resulted in a shooting in Hutto on Saturday.
According to the Hutto Police Department's Facebook page, the shooting happened around 7 a.m. Two vehicles allegedly pulled off of Ed Schmidt Blvd. into a private drive. There, one vehicle struck the other, police said.
During the confrontation, one driver fired shots at the other vehicle, according to police. One man was taken for medical treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
Police said both people were detained, and no other people were involved.
The person in custody was taken to the Williamson County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Hutto police are investigating.
