This Texas bar might just be the smallest in the world

Just a few steps off Washington Avenue in Houston, there lies a bar that if you're walking too fast, you just might miss it.

HOUSTON — Everything's bigger in Texas, right?

Wrong.

Houston just might be home to the smallest bar in the world: Toy Gun Pew Pew Saloon.

On the outside, it might just look like a shed. But inside, it's a little bit more than that.

Just a few steps off Washington Avenue, there's a spot that if you're walking too fast, you just might miss it.

There's no sign and the shed is painted bright yellow.

Welcome to the tiniest bar in the world, according to owner Christopher Huang.

"Once we got it built, we realized that the saloon doors would hit people or the bar," Huang said.

He also owns Ninja Ramen next door. When the restaurant was forced to shudder due to Hurricane Beryl, Huang knew he needed to get creative to make up for his losses.

"It's just small, that's it," he said.

In the few days the bar has been open, it has attracted a small following.

So, why does Huang claim it's the smallest in the world?

"Google tells me that the world's smallest was a bar in Milan, I think it's called 'Back Door 43,' 43 square feet. I saw the 43 and said, yeah, I can beat it by a foot," Huang said.

His saloon is 42 square feet.

It can only fit at most four people comfortably at a time and for now, it's just a shot bar.

But with dreams as big as Texas, Huang is hopeful his tiny saloon will be a big hit.

And in a state where anything can happen, he might just be right.
