Multiple rail cars go off tracks in southeast Houston train derailment

According to Union Pacific, there were no injuries and no spills reported.

HOUSTON — Investigators are trying to determine what led to a train derailment in southeast Houston on Thursday.

It happened near the intersection of San Antonio and East Magnolia streets. Union Pacific said nine cars derailed, but thankfully, there were no injuries or spills.

It's not clear how long it'll take to clear the scene. Officials said it was a mixed commodity train.
