HOUSTON — Some flights are grounded at Hobby Airport until 11:15 a.m.
According to National Airspace System Status, Houston William P Hobby departures are grounded due to thunderstorms. Flights affected are private flights from Frairview Municipal to Hobby and the Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center.
This week, the Houston area will see more rain than in recent weeks. Off-and-on showers and storms will be possible, especially during the first half of the day.
Storm chances will continue for much of this week, as a series of impulses move through deep tropical moisture across the area. No day looks like it will be a washout but any downpours that develop may produce heavy rain locally.
