Pasadena resident wins $1M on scratch-off ticket sold in South Houston

PASADENA, Texas — Someone in Pasadena is a million dollars richer after they bought a scratch-off ticket from a gas station in South Houston, the Texas Lottery announced Friday morning.

The resident bought the winning 200X Power Blitz ticket from Coco Loco Tropical, which is on Houston Boulevard at Pennsylvania Street. The winner chose to remain anonymous.

This was the first of four grand prizes won from this particular game. There were more than 10 million tickets printed for the 200X Power Blitz, bringing the odds of winning the grand prize to 1 in 2.55 million.

The next largest prize of $20,000 has been claimed by 24 people. The odds of winning any prize, according to the lottery, is 1 in 3.72 for this game.
