San Bernard River at major flood stage after heavy rainfall inundates area

If you live near the San Bernard in the Boling/New Gulf area, the constable's office says there is a voluntary evacuation notice to avoid the flood threat.

WHARTON COUNTY, Texas — The San Bernard River near Boling in Wharton County is at major flood stage and officials in that area are issuing a voluntary evacuation notice.

San Bernard is expected to continue to rise to 41.8 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

That's just two feet under where the river crested during Hurricane Harvey flooding, according to the Wharton County Pct. 2 Constable's Office.

If you live near the San Bernard in the Boling/New Gulf area, the constable's office says there is a voluntary evacuation notice to avoid the flood threat.
