HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A deputy with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office was hospitalized Monday after being struck by a suspected drunk driver.
It happened while the deputy was helping a stranded commercial vehicle on West Sam Houston Tollway North and Highway 290 in northwest Harris County.
The deputy was rear-ended and transported to an area hospital to be treated, Pct. 4 said.
Precinct 4 officials said the driver displayed multiple signs of intoxication. They will be booked into the Harris County Jail on a DWI charge.
