HOUSTON — A Houston police officer was involved in a crash on the 610 South Loop near Highway 288 Wednesday morning.
According to Houston Transtar, this happened just after 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes. A heavy truck is also said to be involved.
The officer was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Drivers wanting to avoid the backup can head east on the South Loop, exit at Almeda Road, and head north to Old Spanish Trail. From there, continue east on Old Spanish Trail to reconnect with Highway 288.
