PASADENA, Texas — An 8-day-old child suffered severe head injuries when it was attacked by the family's dog Saturday morning, according to the Pasadena Police Department.
PPD said the dog attack was reported at 9:41 a.m. and the child was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. The child sustained severe head injuries.
PPD's violent crime unit and juvenile division are investigating the attack and the family is reportedly cooperating with the investigation. Pasadena Animal Control officers took the dog to their facility while the investigation is ongoing.
