HCFCD officials say major flooding is expected at, near and east of Highway 59. The flooding is expected to impact the Belleau Woods, Forest Cove, Northshore and Riverside Crest subdivisions.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Residents along the West Fork of the San Jacinto River could see flooding this weekend into as late as Wednesday, according to the Harris County Flood Control District.

HCFCD officials say major flooding is expected at, near and east of Highway 59. The flooding is expected to impact the Belleau Woods, Forest Cove, Northshore and Riverside Crest subdivisions.

Officials say elevated structures in these areas could be cut off for several days. The river is expected to rise to threshold levels by Saturday afternoon and reach its peak crest Monday evening. It is forecasted to remain above flood stage into Wednesday, and officials say some residents may be cut off for 4 to 5 days.

The HCFCD urges residents along the San Jacinto River’s West Fork to remain alert with riding water and changing river conditions. Rainfall totals can be found on the HCFCD’s map here.
