So far this year in Houston alone, there have been 5,100 DWI arrests. In Harris County, the district attorney's office said there have been 11,800 DWI charges. Forty-four of them were intoxication manslaughter charges according.
A Forbes magazine survey drills even deeper, saying thirty percent of fatal car accidents in 2021 occurred in November and December, the big holiday months.
