HOUSTON -- The YMCA kicked off its annual school supply drive Operation Backpack on Thursday.
School starts at Houston Independent School District campuses, and many other districts, on August 22.
It hopes to collect enough supplies for 40,000 children and it's depending on you for donations.
You can drop off a backpack or other supplies at any neighborhood YMCA.
By the way, this year's tax-free shopping weekend starts on August 19.
