SPRING, Texas – Two men were left without a home after a fire consumed their mobile home in Old Town Spring overnight.
According to the Spring Fire Department, firefighters were called just before midnight late Wednesday to mobile home on fire in Old Town Spring at 1st Street and Spring School Road.
Spring Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a mobile home with fire showing. Two men were already out of the residence.
They said one was able to escape by himself, while the other was aided by neighbors. Both had cuts and bruises from trying to get out along with minor smoke inhalation.
Firefighters said both were transported to an area hospital and are expected to recover. No firefighters were injured.
The home was described as a total loss with heavy fire damage. This part of Old Town Spring does not have fire hydrants and several fire trucks were called to aid in fighting the fire.
No word on what the cause was. Harris County Fire Marshals were called to the scene to investigate.
