THE WOODLANDS, Texas The Friends of Montgomery County Texas Animal Shelter can t get by without a little help from their friends. For the third year, FMCTAS has been selected as the non-profit of choice for the gift-wrapping concession at The Woodlands Mall this holiday season. It s a daunting task to staff the 200 volunteers required for the 6-week holiday shopping season.

I don t know how we do it, but we manage to get the job done, said Sandra Hanson, the President of FMCTAS. It s a full-time job just coordinating the volunteers, but the work at the animal shelter has to get done too.

The gift wrapping booth will be located on the second floor in front of the Food Court, and will be open from noon to 7 p.m. daily, from Black Friday after Thanksgiving, through Christmas Eve. Volunteers can work either the noon 3:30 p.m. shift, or the 3:30 7 p.m. shift, or both. Volunteers are desperately needed to staff this effort. Why not consider this for a date night event, or if you re accompanying a spouse to the mall to do holiday shopping, do your part. Anyone interested in friending the FMCTAS by volunteering to wrap packages, needs to contact the organization by phone, website, or their Facebook page. The Woodlands Mall requires that volunteers be 18 years of age.
