MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says a violent crash tore a car to pieces and critically injured a driver.
Just after 11 p.m. Thursday deputies received a 911 call that a major crash occurred on Rayford near Geneva.
A man in an Infiniti G37 coupe lost control at a high rate of speed, and his vehicle went into the ditch. The car hit a culvert pipe, and it was torn into pieces.
The driver nearly died at the scene, but first responders managed to save him and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Deputies say some parts of the car were 20 feet up in the trees.
No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash.
