HOUSTON — A young woman riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash on Memorial Drive Wednesday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
It happened just before 9 p.m. near S. Piney Point Road.
Investigators said the driver of a Subaru traveling westbound on Memorial told them he saw the motorcycle in the eastbound lanes but thought he had enough time to turn left onto Piney Point Road.
The motorcycle couldn't stop in time and crashed into the Subaru.
The 22-year-old woman on the motorcycle was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight but she didn't survive.
The crash is being investigated by HPD and the Memorial Villages Police Department.
They said the driver of the Subaru remained at the scene.
