moonGARDEN sets up in Houston, but only for a week

There's 22 spheres of all sizes. Each is different, but they're all dramatic. They illuminate and captivate.

HOUSTON — In the daylight they’re odd and out of place.

The huge inflatable globes are hard to understand. You have to wait for the sun to go down to see the magic.

There's 22 spheres of all sizes. Each is different, but they're all dramatic. They illuminate and captivate.

“They change colors, like purple and pink and blue. And I like them, and love them too," Luka said

Three-year-old Luka was a little more impressed than 5-year-old Colton.

"They're pretty good," Colton said.

But only at first.

"No I mean they're a bunch good," Colton said.

Some spheres change colors and others even put on a show.

“I would just say they’re big and colorful but if you put a shadow in front of it, it will show something," Colton said.

“They have themes in them, like one is the Texans, the football theme," Peggy Moore said. "They all seem to have a different theme. And they’re changing colors, and they’re beautiful.

And the music only adds to the mystique. The whimsical ambiance is enough to bewitch any bystander.

"It's pretty cool. I like it 'cause it has music, and it changes colors," Kayla Gonzalez said.

The only adjective we don't like about the new exhibit - it's temporary.

“It should be here longer, why not?" Moore said.

The display is only here for about a week. Its last night for display will be Sunday, Oct. 7.
