HOUSTON — Houston police detectives and volunteers with Texas EquuSearch were seen back out for a third day searching a wooded area in west Houston.
Two excavators were seen digging through the dirt behind an empty home off Elmview Drive in the Spring Branch area.
While both agencies didn’t share much information citing it was an ongoing investigation, Tim Miller with Texas EquuSearch did confirm to KHOU 11 News' Michelle Choi the search was connected to a decade-old missing person’s case.
It’s still however unclear who it is and what exactly it is they’re looking for.
According to neighbors, the home located on the property has been empty for at least 15 years.
Miller said if they don’t make any progress, the search will continue Thursday.
