HOUSTON — A man died Thursday night after being run over by a METRORail train in the Texas Medical Center.
According to METRO officials, it happened around 7:30 p.m. when the man got off a train at the Texas Medical Center Transit station at the intersection of Fannin Street and Pressler Street.
As the man got off the train, he collapsed and fell between two cars, METRO officials said.
The train ran him over as it departed the station, officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Train service was suspended as the investigation took place. Shuttle buses were running until the investigation was completed.
