Intoxicated man caused deadly Oak Forest crash: HPD

Houston police said Esvin Aguilar was speeding on West 43rd when he crashed into a Civic, killing the 46-year-old driver.

HOUSTON — A man was intoxicated when he crashed his Jeep Wrangler into a woman's Honda Civic on 43rd Street on Monday, according to Houston police. The 46-year-old woman was killed in the crash.

Esvin Crispin Aguilar, 28, is charged with intoxication manslaughter.

About 5:25 p.m., police said Aguilar was speeding in the 1500 block of West 43rd when he struck the woman's car. Police said she was attempting to cross 43rd at the Cheshire Lane intersection.

Aguilar was tested at the scene and authorities determined he was intoxicated. He was then arrested.
