CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Pinky's Good Eats owner and founder John Roman took to social media over the weekend to post a photo commemorating a moment with a Corpus Christi native who made it to the big time.

'La Bamba' actor and Flour Bluff High School graduate Lou Diamond Phillips was in town for Corpus Christi Comic Con, which ran from Jul.26-28.

Roman is also an on-air personality for WILD 105.5 and a comedian who described the night that Phillips walked over to Pinky's after the first day of Corpus Christi Comic-Con wrapped up, calling the actor a "very nice and humble guy."

"What an honor it was to cook for the legendary Lou Diamond Phillips last night. He stopped by to play some pool at Rich’s and he came up to the Pinky’s window and says “hey, I hear you have the best burger in the city.” Then he ordered some food and even came inside the kitchen to take this picture with me."

The Longmire actor apparently asked Roman if his name was Chef John or Chef Pinky, to which the comic replied, "I said neither it’s Chef Not My Richie!" Roman says Diamond "laughed super hard at that lol!"
