HOUSTON — A Life Flight helicopter made an emergency landing at a park in the Meyerland area on Wednesday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
From Air 11, we could see the chopper in the grass of Godwin Park on Rutherford near Balforth with a crew and bystanders nearby.
Memorial Hermann officials say there were no patients on board when it landed in the park. They said the chopper landed there to evaluate a "possible maintenance issue."
According to a flight track, the Life Flight helicopter left the helipad at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center and had a flight time of around 6 minutes before landing in the park.
