LA PORTE, Texas — The city of La Porte’s Office of Emergency Management said a siren sounded off early Monday morning, but warned there was no emergency.
They said the siren sounded off on South 16th Street before 3 a.m. The city said this was a malfunction and there was nothing to be worried about.
They are not sure what caused the alarm to sound. The fire department is en route to disconnect.
"We apologize for any inconvenience and work to determine the cause," the city said in a social post.
