After two decades of the same old look, Katy Mills is getting a major interior makeover, the outlet announced Thursday.
Simon, the retail real estate agency for the mall, said renovations will start in March. The outlet plans on on updating and redesigning the food court, improving the lighting throughout the mall, upgrading the children’s play area, painting the mall with fresh, neutral paint and much more.
James Ross, general manager of Katy Mills said the renovations are a highly-anticipated project and a huge investment in the local market.
“These improvements are designed with our shoppers and retailers in mind, and we look forward to sharing this new and refined shopping experience with the community," said Ross.
Katy Mills and its stores will remain open during the renovation.
The outlet says work should be completed by the end of 2018.
