HOUSTON — The driver of an SUV that crashed into a motorcycle on the Katy Freeway on Monday during rush hour has been charged.
The motorcycle rider, who was 34, was killed in the wreck near Beltway 8. His name hasn't been released.
Jorge Clemente, 21, was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Houston police said Clemente was driving the Dodge Durango that struck the victim's motorcycle. The rider was ejected and then the Durango ran over him.
HPD said Clemente was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic before the crash.
