ATASCOCITA, Texas — A driver struck a child near Atascocita Middle School on Tuesday morning, the Harris County Sheriff's Office confirms.
The incident happened south of the school in the 18800 block of W. Lake Houston Parkway, but it's not yet known if the victim is a student there.
The extent of the injuries involved is not known, but the child is expected to survive.
The driver involved stopped to speak with deputies.
