I have not started my daily allergy updates yet. But soon, the Ragweed and Cedar will have allergy sufferers in misery. Which had me wondering exactly why my eyes have been watering and throat itching so much. The Houston Department of Health and Human Services supplies us with the answer. Thier daily pollen and mold spore count has almost no weed or grass pollen, but did measure more than 7000 mold spores per cubic meter of air today. The one pictured is 'Cladosporium' but there are several others in the count as well. Blame the recent rains for the bloom of mold, it loves the moist conditions!
