HOUSTON — The roof of a roughly 20,000 square-foot warehouse in west Houston collapsed during a fire Monday morning.
The fire burned at the warehouse along Bellaire Boulevard and South Dairy Ashford. According to Sedrick Robinett with the Houston Fire Department, the first call came in at around 10:20 a.m. The partial roof collapse happened about 20 minutes later.
At the time of the news conference, Robinett said the fire had been contained but not put out. He also they don't yet know what was burning inside the warehouse. He said witnesses told crews that the warehouse was vacant.
At this point, investigators don't know the cause of the fire. They were speaking to one witness, but at this point, they're not saying if it appeared to be intentionally set.
No one was injured in the fire, according to HFD.
