HOUSTON — Ever dreamed of living in one of those palatial mansions in River Oaks, the Memorial Villages or Bellaire? The sky-high prices are out of range for most of us -- unless we win the Mega Millions or a rich uncle leaves us his fortune. But it's still fun to take a peek inside to see what millions of dollars will get you these days.
The Houston Association of Realtors makes it easy with its list of the most expensive homes sold in H-Town each month. In October of 2024, the listing price for the homes ranged from close to $8 million in the Clear Lake area to $4.75 million in Memorial Villages.
1. 3382 Del Monte Drive, Houston
This historic gem built in 1928 is in the elegant Country Club Estates area of River Oaks. It blends old-world charm with modern amenities and has 5,849 square feet with five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The home in the Clear Lake area was listed for $7.9M but sold in 12 days for $5M- $5.8M. It's 13,638 square feet with 6-10 bedrooms, including a 4,000-square-foot primary suite! There are nine full bathrooms plus two half. The waterfront home sits on 5.5 acres with a private boat ramp, custom vehicle showroom and helicopter access. It was built in 1973 and fully remodeled in 2017.
8 Leisure Lane, Bunker Hill Village
This six-bedroom, 6.3 baths is tucked away on a charming lane in Bunker Hill Village. The custom, 9,272 square-foot home listed for $6.7M and sold for $5M- $5.8M. after 57 days on the market.
