Two firefighters were injured while trying to extinguish a fire at a vacant apartment complex in northwest Houston on Friday night.
According to the Houston Fire Department, they responded around 9 p.m. to the three-story apartment building located on Northborough Drive and Rushcreek Drive.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy flames coming from the complex. They eventually were able to get the flames under control.
HFD said two firefighters were taken to the hospital with injuries. One suffered from an ankle injury, while the other had a sprained neck and back.
