HOUSTON – Arson investigators are looking into a fire that destroyed a Sunnyside home early Wednesday morning.
The Houston Fire Department was first called to the home on Sunbeam at Rosehaven around 3:30 a.m. after a man was beaten up at the location.
Authorities said someone kicked in the front door and assaulted the man badly enough that he had to go to the hospital.
About an hour later, HFD responded to the home again after a fire was reported. The blaze destroyed the property.
Investigators are now working to determine what started the fire. They said the property had no electric service at the time.
