H-E-B opens new store in Cypress area near Bridgeland community

The iconic Texas grocery chain cut the ribbon on its new store Wednesday morning. H-E-B said this store marks its 96th location in the Houston area.
As H-E-B LP continues to expand in the Metroplex, it's bought a site on the east side of the region for a potential future grocery store.

CYPRESS, Texas — H-E-B has opened a new 128,000-square-foot store in the Cypress area.

The iconic Texas grocery chain cut the ribbon on its new store Wednesday morning. H-E-B said this store marks its 96th location in the Houston area.

The company said it expects the store to bring more than 600 jobs to the community.

The new store is located at 20017 Bridgeland Creek Parkway in Cypress, near the Bridgeland master-planned community. Houses in the community range from the mid $300s to more than $1 million. The community worked with 17 different builders to offer more than 40 models.

H-E-B described the new store as a "spacious shopping destination with a pledge to deliver unsurpassed freshness and quality affordable prices."

The location will anchor the new Village Green at Bridgeland Central.
