HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies are responding to a deadly crash in the Highlands area Wednesday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted to X about the crash around 7:50 a.m. This happened on Barbers Hill just east of North Main Street.
The sheriff said a vehicle slammed into a pole. One person was confirmed dead at the scene.
Traffic in both directions is shut down and being diverted to Sralla and Eagleton.
The sheriff also said that power lines are down and that CenterPoint has been notified.
