HOUSTON — A garbage truck driver was killed Monday after being crushed to death in southeast Houston.
Police said the driver appeared to have accidentally left the truck in neutral when they got out and walked to the front of the vehicle along Wayside Drive near Harrisburg Boulevard. Police said they got their first call about the incident around 2:40 p.m.
They said the truck rolled forward and crushed the driver, who died at the scene.
Police said it appeared to be an accident.
