FULSHEAR, Texas — Three children and one adult were injured in a house fire in the Fulshear area on Wednesday.
According to authorities, first responders showed up at a house on El Dorado Boulevard around 10 a.m. after getting a call from a neighbor who reported a fire at the back of a house. Broken windows and debris could be seen on the back side of the house.
Fulsher firefighters showed up and rescued four people from the house. Two of them were flown to an area hospital in critical condition and two others were taken to an area hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Later in the day, family members showed up to assess the damage.
Neighbor Russell Gerami said several fire trucks showed up at the scene.
"It looked like a rescue operation at first," Gerami said. "This is just a tragedy ... it's just a tragedy."
Investigators are working to find out how the fire started.
