HOUSTON — Families in need don't have to skip Thanksgiving dinner in Houston this year.

The City Wide Club is hosting Super Feast Thursday with Grab 'n Go or Sit'n Sup (dine-in) options.

Participate

Walk up, drive up or park and dine with others. The Super Feast starts at 10 a.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center on Avenida Plaza downtown.

Grab 'n Go: Drive to Chartres and Walker streets and look for the green flag. Remain in your car. Pick up bicycles, toys, turkey and baskets with other food items.

Dine in: Follow red flags to the exhibit hall for hot turkey dinners, clothing and toy distribution.

Parking is available for free in the Tundra Parking Garage at 1506 Jackson Street.

Volunteer

There were three shifts available to volunteer with Super Feast on Thanksgiving Day. The first shift, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., was full as of Wednesday night.  The second shift, 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and third shift, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., were still available.

The City Wide Club is already accepting volunteers for the Christmas Super Feast.

Donate

The City Wide Club was accepting donations of turkeys, non-perishable foods, toys and household goods. Donations were accepted Tuesday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
