HOUSTON – A wreck on the Gulf Freeway that killed one woman triggered another crash early Sunday morning in southeast Houston.
Police say a woman in a black BMW was traveling southbound on the Gulf Freeway near College Avenue around 6 a.m. Sunday when she went off the freeway and hit a light fixture. Authorities say she died at the scene.
As crews were working the accident, officials say drivers in four cars who were paying more attention to the accident than the roadway crashed into each other. According to police, there were only minor injuries reported in the second crash.
