HOUSTON -- A family is willing to do anything to track down answers after a 17-year-old vanished over the weekend.

Antonio Saldivar, a junior at Houston Can Academy, told his mother he was bringing his girlfriend a teddy bear and watch on Valentine s Day.

Saldivar borrowed his mother s car that night but never came home.

I m really terrified. I tell my daughter, he hasn t eaten so why should I, said mother Connie Netro.

The car was found smashed into a concrete beam early the next morning at the intersection of Navigation and Harrisburg.

A wrecker driver told the family that the accident happened Saturday just before 4:30 a.m.

According to family members, police showed up around 4:50 a.m. to find an abandoned car.

I m the older sister. It s like, he s my baby too, said sister Jessica Perales. I m lost too. He s not only lost. There s a part of me with him.

Family members and friends have handed out more than two thousand fliers since the weekend.

So far, they haven t received any tips that have brought them closer to finding Antonio.

At this point, family members say they are baffled as to where he could be.

Anyone who knows anything is asked to call Houston police or the family at (713) 922-1752.
