HOUSTON -- A former history teacher with Yates High School, who was found guilty of having an improper relationship with a student, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
De Sergio Parrish, 31, was arrested back in March after he reportedly confessed the relationship to police. The relationship allegedly started in January 2012 with a 16-year-old female student. She said when he gave her a ride home on several occasions they would have sex. The student said she ended the relationship in October of 2013.
Parrish was removed from the classroom in December 2013.
