AUSTIN, Texas — Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk wants to bring his family to Austin.

According to The New York Times (NYT), the billionaire has expressed recent interest in housing "his children (of which there are at least 11) and two of their three mothers" in two different properties in the city.

One of these is a mansion with six bedrooms, while the other is a 14,400-square-foot villa, both totaling roughly $35 million. Musk hopes to give his children the chance to spend time together and for him to do the same.

Shivon Zilis, the mother of three of Musk's children and a Neuralink Corp executive, is already living in one of the homes, the NYT reports.

Another mother, singer and musician Claire Elise Boucher (also known as Grimes), has not shared any plans of moving into the space with her three children. Neither has author Justine Musk, who has five children with Musk and one who died as a baby.

Musk wants to help staggering birth rate numbers by having multiple children, according to the NYT. Last year, he posted to social media saying those who chose to remain childless "are effectively demanding that other people's kids take care of them in their old age."

The business owner doesn't just plan on moving his children to Austin. According to recent paperwork, his Tesla company has submitted multiple filings to expand Giga Texas.

Not only that, but he also shared plans this year to shift X's headquarters from California to Bastrop, where the "Boring Bodega," The Boring Company and more are currently located.
