HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputy constables responding to a burglary alarm found a burning home in Spring early Friday morning.
The deadly fire broke out around 3 a.m. in the 25500 block of Friar Lake.
Deputies went into the home and found it was full of smoke. The Spring Fire Department also responded and was able to quickly put out the flames.
Firefighters later found a 76-year-old woman dead inside the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Harris County Pct. 4 Deputy Constables said the home did not have any working smoke detectors.
