HOUSTON - The non-profit organization Astrodome Conservancy has invited the public get a last look inside The Astrodome at a free event they are calling the “Domecoming.”
Domecoming provides Houstonians with one final opportunity to see the inside of the Astrodome before the planned redevelopment begins in the Fall.
Co-hosted by the Conservancy and Harris County, Domecoming is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 9, 2018 – the 53rd anniversary of the inaugural event at the Astrodome.
There will be food and beverage vendors at NRG Park, music and entertainment by DJ London and the original AstroNuts. Fans are encouraged to wear vintage gear from past Astrodome events.
Gates at NRG Park will open to the public at 4:00 p.m. and attendees can get inside starting at 5:00 p.m. The party will end at 8:00 p.m.
Admission is free, but attendees had to register at Ticketmaster in advance. Unfortunately, no remaining tickets are available.
